Save time and improve spray quality by keeping chemicals in suspension – even when the machine is on but not spraying. Pressure recirculation keeps chemicals in suspension so the boom is constantly primed and ready to spray. The air purge system removes solution in the boom to improve the clean out.

All new sprayers come standard with five years of connected service, enabling streaming of data to the John Deere Operations Center, machine-to-machine communication, in-field data sharing, remote support, and John Deere Connected Support^™.

This system continuously monitors for wheel slip and transfers more power to other wheels for real-time traction control. Spray over large hills with confidence. CommandDrive™ automatically increases engine RPM when more power is required to maintain a consistent speed and spray pattern. On flat terrain, Auto Mode maintains the selected ground speed and application rate at lower engine RPM, helping reduce fuel and DEF consumption.

Carbon-fiber’s strength to weight ratio provides an overall lighter sprayer and the option for 132 ft wide boom. For the highest level of spray accuracy with less drift and reduced risk of boom damage, look to the new BoomTrac Pro 2 automatic boom-height control system, offering up to 22% greater spray accuracy (composite score over a variety of terrains) compared to the previous BoomTrac Pro system.

The optional ExactApply^™ system reduces overapplication, thus crop burn, as well as off-target drift. The individual nozzle control has up to 30 hertz pulsing frequency and A-B nozzle design to help decrease overlap, improve efficiency and reduce input costs by 2 to 5%¹. Two application modes give you more consistent droplet size from each nozzle at all sprayer speed ranges.

Field-proven variable geometry turbochargers provide consistent engine boost pressure and the ability to respond to load quickly across the engine RPM range. The 408R comes with the 6.8L engine – all other models are built with the 9.0L engine.
